PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a membrane from being contaminated so that various kinds of waste water are treated efficiently when various kinds of waste water such as river water, lake water, industrial water and cooling tower blow water are subjected to flocculation treatment and then membrane separation treatment using a MF membrane or an UF membrane.SOLUTION: An inorganic flocculant is added to the water to be treated to perform flocculation treatment and a dispersant containing a polymer having a sulfo group is added to the water subjected to the flocculation treatment to perform membrane separation treatment using the MF membrane or the UF membrane. Since the polymer having the sulfo group is reacted with the inorganic flocculant-derived Al or Fe and reaction products, turbid media bonded respectively to the Al or Fe, organic matter or the like disperse contaminants effectively, the membrane can be prevented from being contaminated therewith. |
