PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker capable of making a counterflow of an arc difficult to occur.SOLUTION: The circuit breaker includes an arc suppression device 7 for suppressing an arc occurring between contacts. The arc suppression device 7 includes: an arc suppression grid 71 in which a plurality of arc-extinguishing plates 710 are placed in parallel along their thickness direction; and an arc-extinguishing space B1 for releasing an arc passing through the arc suppression grid 71. The arc suppression grid 71 is so configured that intervals of the arc-extinguishing plates 710 become larger as they are farther away from a second space B11 which is the largest in the arc-extinguishing space B1. |
