PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine improved in durability.SOLUTION: An engine 1 includes: an engine body 5; a generator 6; a cooling water pump 16; and a cooling fan 7. The engine body 5 has a crank shaft 50. The crank shaft 50 has one end portion 51 projecting from one end side S1 of the engine body 5, and the other end portion 52 projecting from the other end side S2 of the engine body 5. The generator 6 is directly mounted on one end portion 51 of the crank shaft 50, and driven by the crank shaft 50 to generate electric power. The cooling water pump 16 receives the electric power from the generator 6 to be driven by the electric power. The cooling fan 7 is mounted on the other end portion 52 of the crank shaft 50 projecting from the other end side S2 of the engine body 5 to be driven by the crank shaft 50. |
