PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator of a rotary electric machine which reduces the manufacturing costs when a holding frame is manufactured, and to provide a manufacturing method of the stator of the rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A stator of a rotary electric machine includes: a stator core 12 formed by multiple split cores 20; and a stator holder 30 which fits in an outer peripheral surface 14 of the stator core 12 and integrally fixes the multiple split cores 20 to each other. The stator holder 30 includes: an annular part 32 formed by curving a long plate-like member 31; and a coupling part 38 where a first end part 33 are a second end part 34 are coupled to each other.
