The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing wallpaper having a maximized three-dimensional effect even on a thin wallpaper that is hard to form a deep embossed pattern by selectively forming a transparent glossy layer or a transparent coating layer only on the relief part of the embossed pattern; and to the wallpaper manufactured by the same method. The method for manufacturing embossed wallpaper gives wallpaper thinner than 1.0 mm that is hard to form a deep embossed pattern an excellent three-dimensional effect by selectively forming a transparent glossy layer or a transparent coating layer only on the relief part of the embossed pattern. Also, the method for manufacturing embossed wallpaper selectively forms a transparent glossy layer or a transparent coating layer only on the relief part of the embossed pattern using a rotary screen printing method so as to adjust the thickness of the transparent glossy layer or the transparent coating layer, thereby maximizing a glossy effect. And the intagliated part of the embossed pattern relatively displays a matt effect, thereby maximizing the glossy/matt effect. Additionally, the method for manufacturing embossed wallpaper forms a transparent glossy layer or a transparent coating layer only on the relief part of the embossed pattern, thereby maximizing the three-dimensional effect through the implementation of synchronized embossed pattern by matching the patterns between the glossy/matt part and embossed pattern.
