BATTERY LIFETIME ESTIMATION METHOD AND BATTERY LIFETIME ESTIMATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate residual life under a predetermined service condition based on current battery characteristics.SOLUTION: A battery lifetime estimation method includes the steps of: calculating current battery characteristics containing at least an internal resistance value for a secondary battery; storing service condition data including a temperature time distribution and a current value time distribution during an estimation period, and a deterioration characteristics map showing the distribution of deterioration constant relative to a battery voltage and temperature; and estimating the amount of deterioration by integrating the residence time of a battery voltage-temperature plane in the deterioration characteristics map based on the current battery characteristics data and service condition data.
