PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a user load when a communication terminal device activates a communication unit to switch a communication method etc., with the suppression of a power consumption increase.SOLUTION: The communication terminal device includes: a first communication unit for connecting to a first communication network to perform radio communication; a second communication unit for connecting to a second communication network to perform radio communication; a channel estimation unit for performing channel estimation on the communication of the first communication unit; a travel speed index value calculation unit for calculating the index value of a travel speed on the basis of the channel estimation result by the channel estimation unit; and a travel speed determination unit for comparing the travel speed index value with a predetermined threshold, to determine whether or not the travel speed is suitable for the use of the second communication unit.
