PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting method capable of more effectively utilizing platinum and a method for improving catalytic activities of platinum to reduce the use amount of platinum, because although a catalyst obtained by supporting platinum on a carbon-based material is used as a catalyst for accelerating a reaction at a positive electrode or a negative electrode in many of solid polymer-type fuel cells, platinum is rare and expensive.SOLUTION: A catalyst according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a carbon-based material 11 doped with nitrogen atom, phosphorus atom or boron atom and particulate platinum 12 supported on the carbon-based material 11. |
