PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a printing method capable of forming a preferable fine pattern by a printing method using an intaglio plate.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a printing plate (12) on which a recess (12A) having a shape corresponding to a pattern (31C) formed on a substrate (14) is formed; an inking processing part (20) including an ink jet head (30) for performing inking processing for allowing a liquid in which particles of a material for a pattern are dispersed to be discharged inside the recess of the printing plate; a bonding processing part (24) for performing bonding processing in which the substrate is bonded on the surface where the recess of the printing plate is formed after the inking processing; a post-drying processing part (26) for lowering flowability of a liquid by performing drying processing with respect to the liquid in the recess in a state where the substrate is bonded on the surface where the recess of the printing plate is formed; and a peeling processing part (28) for peeling the printing plate from the substrate after the drying processing by the post-drying processing part. |
