[Class 131] The movable blade D of a hedge cutter is reciprocated relatively to the fixed blade A by means of a lever G pivoted to the frame B and oscillated by means of a rotary cam H which may be driven by an electric motor, flexible shaft, manually &c. The cam H may have various forms and be driven through reduction gearing. The teeth of the cutter blades may be rectangular, tapered or provided with concave cutting edges. |
