<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for knitting a pleat in a cylindrical knitted fabric which can form the pleat in any direction at any position in front and back knitted fabric parts in the cylindrical knitted fabric.SOLUTION: In the process of knitting a cylindrical knitted fabric 1, the following stepsαtoζare carried out. In a knitted fabric part 10F on one side, a first boundary part 31 and a second boundary part 32 are set in advance, and a stitch row including a front surface part 21, a folding-back part 22 and a back surface part 23 is knitted (stepα). Stitches located on the side of the folding-back part 22 relative to the first boundary part 31 are transferred to a needle bed (BU) on the other side (stepβ). After the racking of needle beds (BD and BU) on the other side, a stitch at the front end part in the racking direction of a knitted fabric part 10B on the other side is turned into a needle bed (FD) on the one side, and the front surface part 21 and the folding-back part 22 are superposed (stepγ). The back surface part 23 is superposed on the front surface part 21 and the folding-back part 22 to form a joint portion (stepδ). Turning-back is performed to return the turned stitch in the reverse direction (stepε). A new stitch is knitted on a stitch in the joint portion (stepζ).</p> |
