PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for a dye-sensitized solar cell, having characteristics with which high durability and high short-circuit current density can be obtained, while there are desired an additive high in durability and capable of improving short-circuit current density and an excellent electrolyte for a dye-sensitized solar cell which can be obtained using the additive.SOLUTION: There are provided an electrolyte for a dye-sensitized solar cell containing a cyclic borate ester compound, as an additive, and a dye-sensitized solar cell fabricated using the electrolyte. By adding a cyclic borate ester compound, high short-circuit current density and high durability can be obtained, and as a result, high conversion efficiency can be obtained. |
