PROCESSING METHOD FOR CARBON FIBER YARN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a carbon fiber yarn that is capable of economically and efficiently providing a carbon fiber yarn obtained by removing a sizing agent which has been attached to a commercially available carbon fiber yarn and reattaching a sizing agent suitable for a matrix resin to be used without impairing physical properties of the carbon fiber itself and deteriorating a work environment.SOLUTION: The carbon fiber yarn is processed through the following first, second and third steps: a first step of cleaning a carbon fiber yarn to which a sizing agent has been attached with an organic solvent to remove the sizing agent from the carbon fiber yarn; a second step of reattaching a sizing agent to the carbon fiber yarn without drying the carbon fiber yarn which is in an opening state after the sizing agent is removed; and a third step for drying the carbon fiber yarn to which the sizing agent has been reattached.
