PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently monitor a situation of a branch line of an electric pole.SOLUTION: A branch line situation monitoring system comprises: a sensor 10 provided on a branch line 2 provided for an electric pole 3 in order to measure electric resistance between a first branch line 2a that is one side part of the branch line with respect to an insulator 8 inserted into the middle of the branch line 2 and a second branch line 2b that is the other side part of the branch line with respect to the insulator 8; a branch line information notification device 20 (first information processing device) which is provided on the electric pole 3 and is communicably connected to the sensor 10; and a branch line situation monitoring device 30 (second information processing device) which is provided at a location apart from the branch line information notification device 20 and is communicably connected to the branch line information notification device 20. The branch line information notification device 20 transmits the electric resistance measured by the sensor 10 and the current date and time to the branch line situation monitoring device 30; and the branch line situation monitoring device 30 determines a situation of the branch line 2 on the basis of temporal change of the electric resistance.
