<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit capable of displaying a content and an input image in suitable display sizes when the content and the input image which is input from outside are displayed together.SOLUTION: A control part 118 of a television includes a display size calculation part 135 which adjusts the display size of a main image and the display size of a sub image so that the main image and sub image are displayed in different areas of an LCD. The display size calculation part 135 adjusts the display position of the main image on the LCD and the display position of the sub image on the LCD based upon the aspect ratio of the main image and sub image.</p>
