A liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are provided to improve the smear or the greenish phenomenon due to the deflection of the common voltage polarity. A driving method of the liquid crystal display is as follows. Video data inputted to the nth horizontality pixel line of the liquid crystal panel is input(S1). Inputted video data are 6 bit or 8 bit digital data. The number of cases of data transition is counted by comparing the first and second data which are corresponded to the adjacent two pixels among video data(S2). According to the count result, the inversion drive method of the nth horizontality pixel line is determined(S3). |
