The present invention relates to a method for security management based on face recognition in a CCTV environment which is performed by a monitoring robot and a management server, wherein the monitoring robot recognizes a face by processing an image inputted through a camera in real time and identifies a registered person and unregistered person, and the management server evaluates similarity by receiving an image transmitted to the monitoring server. The method comprises the following steps of: (a) extracting a person image from an image inputted through the camera; (b) detecting a face area from the person image; (c) extracting feature data of the face area; (d) transmitting the extracted feature data to the management server when the feature data is extracted; and (e) receiving, from the management server, a recognition result according to similarity evaluation between the extracted feature data and registered feature data. According to the method for security management based on face recognition, privacy can be protected as much as possible in a CCTV environment, and a face detection technology and a security framework technology which can be applied universally can be provided. |
