PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover lock mechanism of a printer, in which a mechanism of a print head (a thermal head 13), a cover lock mechanism 27 engaged in opening/closing of an open/close cover 3 and a heat radiation mechanism of the print head 13 are more simplified and the number of components is decreased, which can be assembled with space saved.SOLUTION: A cover lock mechanism of a printer, configured focusing on function of a cover lock 27 as a conventional heat sink, comprises: an open/close cover 3 that is opened and closed to a printer housing 2; a print head 13 capable of performing printing on a printing paper (a label continuum 4); a platen roller 14 capable of holding the printing paper 4 together with the print head 13 to be transferred; and a cover lock 27 that engages with the platen roller 14 so as to separate the print head 13 from the platen roller 14. The cover lock 27 is equipped with the print head 13 and can radiate heat generated from the print head 13. |
