PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication monitoring device for reproducing a directory configuration from a block access flowing in a communication network.SOLUTION: A communication monitoring method includes: means for acquiring a communication packet communicated by the protocol of a block access from a communication network; means for determining which of a system attribute block in which file system attributes are stored, a file attribute block in which a plurality of file attributes are stored and a file name block in which a plurality of file names are stored is the acquired communication packet related to; means for, when it is determined that the communication packet is related to the file attribute block, calculating the block number of the file attribute data block on the basis of the address of the system attribute block and the address of the file attribute block; means for calculating each identification number of the file attribute data on the basis of the system attribute data and the block number; and means for associating the file attributes with the file names on the basis of each identification number and the identification number applied to each file name.
