PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flavor enhancing agent which enhances the flavor such as oiliness, rich taste, thick taste, and umami inherent to frying treatment, relating more specifically to a flavor enhancing agent having an effect for enhancing the flavor of foods when added to soup or the like.SOLUTION: The flavor enhancing agent is produced by steam distillation of frying oil in use of frying foods. The flavor enhancing agent may be contained in some kind of foods (e.g. instant noodles and non-fried snacks) so as to enhance the flavor of an object to which the agent is added. |
