PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a coaxial cable having excellent terminal processing property and sufficient flexibility so as not to deteriorate electrical properties even when performed wiring at a small angle, such as L-shaped wiring; and a method for manufacturing the coaxial cable.SOLUTION: A coaxial cable 10 includes: a conductor 11; an insulating layer 12 formed around the conductor 11; and a shield layer 14 formed around the insulating layer 12 by laterally winding plated wires 13. The plated wires 13 adjacent to each other are partially connected to each other.
