PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fender that reduces friction between a fender surface and a ship.SOLUTION: A fender 10 includes a buffer material 12 that is attached to a quaywall 20 via an attachment surface 18A on the side of one end, a convexly-curved buffer surface 12A that is provided at the other end of the buffer material 12, and an impact receiving member 14 that is formed in a convexly-curved surface shape in the wake of a surface shape of the buffer surface 12A and that makes a coefficient of dynamic friction and a coefficient of static friction lower than the buffer surface 12A. |
