<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission device for suppressing its driving loss in a non-loading state by inhibiting unnecessary loading due to a speed increase.SOLUTION: The continuously variable transmission device in which a pair of friction wheel type continuously variable transmissions A, B having a common input shaft 11 are arranged opposing each other around a guide ring 22, includes a pair of annular grooves 21 formed in the opposed faces of an output ring 13, through hollow parts 24 formed in the guide ring 22 at positions opposite to the annular grooves 21, and rolling elements 23 movably inserted into the through hollow parts 24 and arranged between the pair of annular grooves 21. The opening of each of the through hollow parts 24 is shaped having at least one inclined edge 24b inclined at a predetermined angle to the radial direction of the guide ring 22. When the output ring 13 is rotated relative to the guide ring 22, the inclined edge 24b displaces the rolling element 23 radially inward of the guide ring 22 to press it against at least part of the annular grooves 21.</p> |
