<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idle stop control device for a saddle type vehicle capable of acknowledging it during a temporary stopping that a driver does not have any intention to start a vehicle, stopping an internal combustion engine to perform an idle stopping operation and then during the idle stopping operation acknowledging it that the driver intends to start the vehicle, restarting the internal combustion engine and capable of completing a preparation for starting engine in an early time.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an idle stop control device for a saddle type vehicle having an internal combustion engine 4 and a transmission 5 supported at a vehicle frame 2, stopping the internal combustion engine upon formation of a stopping condition of a saddle type vehicle 1 having a transmission operating element 7 for selecting a transmission stage through turning operation and re-starting the internal combustion engine upon formation of the restarting condition is characterized in that, during temporary stopping of the saddle type vehicle, the internal combustion engine is stopped under the stopping condition including that the transmission operating element is kept at a neutral position to set the saddle type vehicle to an idle stop state and during the idle stop state, the internal combustion engine is restarted under the restarting condition including that the transmission operating element is rotated by a prescribed angle or more.</p> |
