The present invention relates to a cable reel with a built-in power reduction device, comprising: a plug outlet provided on one side surface of a body; a cylindrical drum installed to be able to rotate; and a frame for fixating the drum to be rotated, wherein the cable reel has the power reduction device built inside the drum. Therefore, the present invention can reduce the magnitude of reactive power by controlling the quantity and capacity of a power factor correction condenser according to a use load of the cable reel, thereby reducing power by compensating the reduction in power factor generated from the cable reel.
