PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge unit such that an outer nozzle which easily thickens a liquid securely discharges the thickened liquid by flushing.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: an ink jet head 3 which has a plurality of nozzles arrayed in a predetermined direction and a controller which controls the ink jet head 3. The controller performs a basic flushing amount determining process of determining a basic flushing amount for each nozzle 26. Further, the controller flushes inside nozzles 26i, located inside in the predetermined direction among the nozzles 26, with the basic flushing amount, and flushes outside nozzles 26o, located outside the inside nozzles 26i in the predetermined direction, with a flushing amount larger than the basic flushing amount. |
