PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery that is capable of preventing short circuits and excellent in battery output.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a laminated electrode body in which a negative electrode active material layer, a positive electrode active material layer, a separator, and a heat resistant layer disposed between the negative electrode active material layer or the positive electrode active material layer and the separator are laminated. A method for manufacturing the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a step of preparing the heat resistant layer by subjecting a laminate to thermo-compression at a temperature higher than the melting point of a first particle and lower than the melting point of a second particle and the melting point of the separator, the laminate being formed such that a heat resistant precursor layer including the first particle and the second particle having the melting point higher than the melting point of the first particle is held by the active material layer and the separator. |
