摘要 <p>The invention relates to a novel method for producing methane gas in situ, wherein: at least one natural kerogen-rich layer is selected from the superficial geological subsoil up to a depth of 1,500 m, the growth and activity of the indigenous microorganisms naturally contained in said kerogens are stimulated in order to increase methane production, and the methane product is extracted. The invention also relates to a fluid composition to be injected according to the method of the invention in order to increase the production of methane in the kerogens, which includes at least water, nutrients for the syntroph and methanogenic microorganisms, and at least one additive. The invention also relates to a nutrient composition consisting in part of said fluids of the invention as well as compositions of trace elements, a vitamin solution, and inhibitors of indigenous microbiological populations, each of which comprises a portion of said nutrient composition. The invention also relates to a device for producing methane, including at least means for injecting fluids, for metabolically forcing the indigenous microorganisms, for pumping the fluids, for collecting, compressing and storing and/or distributing the methane produced. The invention finally relates to a method for producing methane including a preliminary prospecting phase for selecting at least one layer having a high gas potential at a given geological site.</p>
