PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump capable of miniaturizing a device while surely discharging leaking cooling water.SOLUTION: A water pump includes a rotating shaft 14 supported by a housing 11 through a bearing 13, an impeller disposed on one end of the rotating shaft 14 for circulating cooling water, a pulley 16 disposed on the other end of the rotating shaft 14, a seal member 18 disposed over the housing between the impeller 15 and the bearing 13, of the rotating shaft 14 for suppressing leakage of the cooling water to the external, a drain passage 19 disposed on the housing 11 in a state of being opened to a side face of the bearing 13, and discharging the cooling water leaking from the seal member 18, and a communication passage 21 formed between the bearing 13 and the housing 11 and communicated with the drain passage 19 from an end portion of the bearing 13. |
