PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination control system capable of controlling an area including the area in which illumination light illuminating neighboring areas is made incident, to preset brightness, and an illumination control method.SOLUTION: An illumination control system 1 comprises: a camera apparatus 13 which images an area illuminated by lighting equipment 12 and outputs image data; and a control device 11. On the basis of illuminance corrected by correcting illuminance in an influential portion region to be influenced by illumination from lighting equipment 12 any other than the lighting equipment 12 in the image data in accordance with a lighting control state of the other lighting equipment 12 and illumination in a non-influential portion area not to be influenced by illumination from the other lighting equipment 12 in the image data, the control device 11 controls lighting of the lighting equipment 12 in such a manner that brightness in the area becomes a preset value. |
