In order to provide a seal device that has a sealing structure that enables assembly without a decrease in efficiency in a CVT assembly step and that does not leak oil even in situations when an engine is off and an oil pump is not operating, or in other words situations when oil pressure is not imparted to the sealing, the configuration is such that a combined sealing contains an endless resin ring, of which the outer peripheral surface slides against the inner peripheral surface of an outer member, and a coil expander that presses the resin ring in the outer peripheral direction and the lateral direction, the coil expander is disposed in a cut section provided to the corner of the inner peripheral surface and pressure bearing surface of the resin ring, and the inner peripheral side of the combined sealing is spaced from the groove bottom of the sealing groove. |
