[Problem] To provide an imaging lens such that a shorter total length and high resolution are achieved, and an imaging device equipped with the imaging lens. [Solution] An imaging lens comprises substantially six lenses constituted by, in order from the object side: a first lens (L1) which has a positive refractive power and is convex on the object side; a second lens (L2) which has a negative refractive power; a third lens (L3) which has a positive refractive power and is convex on both sides; a fourth lens (L4) which has a positive refractive power; a fifth lens (L5) which has a negative refractive power and is concave on the object side; and a sixth lens (L6) which has a negative refractive power, the object-side surface of the sixth lens (L6) having an aspherical shape which becomes concave in the vicinity of the optical axis and becomes convex in the periphery. The imaging lens satisfies a prescribed conditional expression.
