Said water softening system comprises: a water container for containing feed water; and a water softener for softening said feed water during a treating time, wherein said feed water flows through said water softener with a treating velocity and flows back to said water container in an internal recycling mode. The present invention also relates to a method of controllable water softening with an internal recycling mode.
