PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor with a vent valve which can achieve the high life, while maintaining excellent power storage characteristics, without inhibiting the gas permeation function by retaining moisture in the vent valve, and to provide a sealing plate.SOLUTION: In a capacitor 1 having a capacitor element 2, a bottomed cylindrical outer case 3 for housing the capacitor element 2, and a sealing plate 4 for sealing an opening 3a of the outer case 3, the sealing plate 4 is provided with a vent valve 10 composed of a gas permeable rubber. The vent valve 10 has a bottomed cylindrical shape consisting of a cylindrical side wall 11, the bottom and the opening. At least a part of the inner peripheral surface of the side wall 11 is formed in arcuate face 11a the diameter of which is reduced gradually from the opening side toward the bottom side of the side wall 11. |
