PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for relaying an FCoE packet so as not cause the occurrence of a bottleneck link in a network in which the FCoE packet is transferred.SOLUTION: By a packet identification, search and processing unit 123, the header information of a received FCoE packet to identify the type of the FCoE packet is referred to. When the type indicates the designation of an FCoE protocol, an FCoE relay table 1242 is searched using a destination MAC address and a destination FCID. If the entry hits in the search, the destination and the source MAC addresses of the FCoE packet are rewritten to the MAC addresses of an E node and an FCF stored in the entry. By the rewriting, the FCoE packet is transferred through a route which is a sort of a shortcut of an original transfer route. |
