A method of reducing serum triacylglyceride levels in a human subject comprising, administering a composition comprising an effective amount of a fungal lipase that (i) exhibits at least 50% of its maximum activity over the pH range of 2.0 to 8.0; and (ii) cleaves all three ester sites of a triglyceride, to a human subject in need thereof, wherein the effective amount of said fungal lipase comprises at least 15,000 FIP units/meal. |
