[Class 20 (i)] A military barrier comprises a central, shaft 1 formed of sections joined together end to end, and pointed or barbed rods 2 passing through the shaft in intersecting formation. The central shaft is formed of sections 3 each provided with a screwed projection 5 and a screwed recess 4 at opposite ends, so that the sections can be screwed together to form a rigid shaft. Each section is provided with a transverse aperture or slot 6 registering with the end of the screwed recess and adapted to receive a transverse pointed or barbed rod 7, the central portion of which is reduced and roughened so that it can be gripped by the screwed projection 5 of the adjacent shaft section. The transverse rods may be provided with barbs or with helical pointed portions at the ends. Shaft sections may be flexibly connected together by a chain 13 engaging screw caps 14, 15 screwed on to the ends of adjacent sections. |
