PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire excellent in wet performance, low rolling resistance and performance on ice and snow roads.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber composition for a tire containing 100 pts.mass of a diene rubber containing 10 to 50 pts.mass of butadiene rubber, 60 to 200 pts.mass of silica and polysiloxane as a sulfur-containing silane coupling agent of 1 to 20 mass% based on the content of the silica, and an average glass transition temperature of the diene rubber is -65 to -40°C.
