This battery pack comprising a secondary battery enclosed in a case is provided with a communication unit which receives commands related to the secondary battery from an external communication terminal device by near-field wireless communication, and with a control unit which uses the state of the secondary battery to perform operations in accordance with the commands. By the external communication terminal device sending commands relating to the state of the secondary battery to the battery pack, it is possible to obtain a response from the battery pack that depends on the state of the secondary battery, making it possible to easily check the state of the secondary battery. |
