<p>An energy storage cell (100) comprises a cylindrical electric energy source (50, 50') and a housing (10), wherein the electric energy source (50, 50') is arranged in the housing (10) and has an anode and a cathode. The housing (10) comprises a circumferential section and two opposing end sections (30, 35), the circumferential section defining a lateral area of the housing (10) and the end sections (30, 35) defining base areas of the housing (10). The lateral area comprises at least a first electrically conductive surface portion (11) and a second electrically conductive surface portion (12), the first and second surface portions (11, 12) being electrically isolated from each other. The first surface portion (11) is electrically coupled to the anode of the electric energy source (50, 50') and the second surface portion (12) is electrically coupled to the cathode of the electric energy source (50, 50').</p> |
