In a motive power transmission device (20), a drum part (110) of a support member (100) is fixed, between a counter driven gear (43) and a drive pinion gear (44), to a transmission case (22) so as to be closer to a shaft centre of the counter driven gear (43) and the drive pinion gear (44) than tooth tips (44t) of the drive pinion gear (44), said drum part (110) functioning as a brake drum for a brake (B1) which non-rotatably fixes a second sun gear of a second planetary gear mechanism to the transmission case (22).
