PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for manufacturing a ceramic discharge container having a high total light transmittance.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a ceramic discharge container comprises: a raw material-preparation step in which a raw material of alumina is prepared by mixing alumina relatively large in grain size, and alumina relatively small in grain size in a predetermined weight proportion; a slurry preparation step in which a slurry is prepared by mixing the raw material, an assistant agent and water; a mold formation step in which a mold is formed from the slurry; and a baking step in which the discharge container is formed by baking the mold. The weight ratio of the alumina relatively small in grain size is larger than that of the alumina of the relatively large grain size. The grain size of the alumina relatively large in grain size is more than 1.8 times and less than 6.5 times as large as the grain size of the alumina relatively small in grain size. |
