PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dog clutch for an automatic transmission which can shorten a gear change time.SOLUTION: Since determination that a sleeve 26 is not engaged with a gear, that is, a clutch tooth groove 23d1 is made by the fact that reciprocation motion of the sleeve 26 arises after the sleeve 26 reaches an end face 23c2 of a clutch rear tooth 23c1, it is determined in advance that the sleeve 26 cannot be engaged with the clutch tooth groove 23d1 by a behavior associated with the movement of the sleeve 26. |
