Provided is a light diffusion film having a monolayer light diffusion layer, wherein it is possible to improve the uniformity of the intensity of the diffused light in the light diffusion angle region and to effectively expand the light diffusion angle region by adjusting the combination of the tilt angles of columnar objects in multiple column structure regions. Also provided is a manufacturing method for said light diffusion film. This light diffusion film has a monolayer light diffusion layer which has, in order along the film surface from the bottom, a first column structure region and a second column structure region formed by arranging a plurality of columnar objects with a relatively high refractive index upright in close proximity in a region having a relatively low refractive index. |
