Provided is a method for cutting a honeycomb molding, by which the shapes of cells at an end of the cut honeycomb molding are good and thereby the cut honeycomb molding can be efficiently obtained. A method for cutting a honeycomb molding, wherein while green body including a ceramic starting material is extruded to mold a honeycomb-shaped honeycomb molding having partitions for demarcating and forming a plurality of cells, the extruded honeycomb molding is cut in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the honeycomb molding moves by a cutting blade that is vibrated at a frequency of 0.3 kHz or more. More preferably, a method for cutting a honeycomb molding, wherein the cutting blade is high-frequency-vibrated at a frequency of 10 kHz or more.
