摘要 In the present invention, a damper has a minimum length-side characteristic and a maximum length-side characteristic. In the minimum length-side characteristic, an extension-side attenuation coefficient falls into a hard state in a range (Aa0) in which a piston rod enters a cylinder beyond a minimum length-side predetermined location (Sa1). In the maximum length-side characteristic, the extension-side attenuation coefficient falls into a soft state in a range (Aa4) in which the piston rod extends from the cylinder past a maximum length-side predetermined location (Sa4). The characteristic of extension-side attenuation between the minimum length-side predetermined location (Sa1) and the maximum length-side predetermined location (Sa4) has a component in which the rate of change in the attenuation coefficient of the piston rod with respect to a stroke is high (Sa1 to Sa2, Sa3 to Sa4) and a component in which the rate of change in the attenuation coefficient of the piston rod with respect to the stroke is low (Sa2 to Sa3). When the stroke of the piston rod is at least from the minimum length-side predetermined location (Sa1) toward the extension side, the rate of change in the attenuation coefficient is increased.
