The present invention provides an artificial reef. According to the present invention, the artificial reef is invented for development of an octopus farm. Various crustaceans and fish can enter into a tunnel of the artificial reef through entrances, which are in a certain shape and are located separately on a front side and a rear side, and inhabit in the artificial reef. Therefore, the artificial reef can protect the crustaceans and the fish to be safe from predator species. Octopuses can inhabit in a plurality of inhabitation holes formed on each side. On each flat surface, seaweeds are planted so as to provide hiding places and habitats for the shellfish. Therefore, in the artificial reef, a food chain in which the octopus is the final predator is formed. The artificial reef forms a habitat in which the octopus can continuously lay eggs, grow, and live, and thus increases productivity of the octopus. Consequently, the artificial provide fishermen with opportunity to earn high income, and can efficiently purify seawater at the same time. |
