PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control secondary batteries disposed in a wide range.SOLUTION: A secondary battery management device is connected to a monitor server for monitoring a plurality of power storage systems disposed in distribution, and controls one or more secondary batteries provided in one power storage system. The secondary battery management device includes: a communication unit for receiving a control signal to control the one or more secondary batteries from the monitor server; an acquisition unit for acquiring secondary battery information related to the one or more secondary batteries; and a control unit for deciding whether or not the secondary battery information acquired by the acquisition unit corresponds to predetermined control, and for controlling the one or more secondary batteries on the basis of the control signal received from the monitor server if the secondary battery information does not correspond to the predetermined control, while controlling the one or more secondary batteries on the basis of the predetermined control if the secondary battery information corresponds to the predetermined control.
