The present invention relates to an optical film production method which prevents air bubbles from remaining in a microlens, and more specifically, relates to an optical film production method which involves: a step for rotating a roll die (51) having an outer peripheral surface on which multiple concave microlens transfer sections are arranged and transporting a substrate (22) in the rotation direction; a step for supplying an active energy-curable composition &bgr; onto a coating roll (53) arranged adjacent to the outer peripheral surface of the roll die, flattening the composition &bgr; with a flattening means, and coating the outer peripheral surface of the roll die; a step for supplying an active energy curable composition α onto a substrate and coating the surface of the substrate; a step for associating compositions α and &bgr; at the junction of the roll die and the substrate and forming a liquid reservoir; and a step for irradiating the region between the outer peripheral surface of the roll die and the surface of the substrate with active energy while compositions α and &bgr; are held between the outer peripheral surface of the roll die and the surface of the substrate to cure the compositions α and &bgr;. |
