The control unit is provided with: an assessment means for assessing whether a specified elapsed time condition has been met after gear shifting to a specified gear position, which is achieved by engaging a specified frictional engaging element of a stepped gear-shifting mechanism; and a regulatory means for keeping the automatic transmission at a target gear ratio by prohibiting, until the assessment means determines that the specified elapsed time condition has been met, the stepped gear-shifting mechanism from re-shifting to the specified gear position and allowing only gear-shifting by the continuously variable gear-shifting mechanism. |
